      Coders at Work
      by Peter Seibel

This book includes engaging, candid, amusing, and at times controversial interviews with some of the most important and influential programmers of our era, and is garnering rave reviews around the web:
“Coders at Work should inspire readers to learn about the wider context of their craft and stop the reinvention of the proverbial wheel”
—Vladimir Sedach from review at Slashdot
“One of the other core questions Peter asks is, what books would you recommend to help a developer learn programming? For me, this book joins my short list—it takes you away from the limitations of learning within a single company or community, and shows you the breadth of experiences that can make someone a great developer.”
—Marc Hedlund from review at O’Reilly Radar
“The range of topics covered is just astounding.”
—Chris Hartjes from review at @TheKeyboard

(LSJ) Should Cloud Computing Be On Your Roadmap?

See Executive Suite Discussion at LinkedIn.com

My reply today is as follows:

Without doubt, Cloud Computing is a key element for SME’s path from idea to Innovation in the field of Web 2 Services. Cloud Computing creates possibility to create Early Demos for financial rounds, and prepares Agile Software Engineering Methods as well.

The availability and offering is not yet fully consolidated, and more Cloud Computing and SaaS positioning is needed in the markets (as I see it)

More broadly, in the traditional ICT, SaaS delivered through global Cloud Computing Services will can give advantage for Costs Reductions and raised usability.

The Pitfalls are related to security, maintenance, contract Management f.e. For a larger corporation the Complexity of ICT Services reduces the usability of Cloud Computing.

Yes, Cloud Computing is a key element for ICT’s Project Portfolio of 2010.
