Without doubt, Cloud Computing is a key element for SME’s path from idea to Innovation in the field of Web 2 Services. Cloud Computing creates possibility to create Early Demos for financial rounds, and prepares Agile Software Engineering Methods as well.
The availability and offering is not yet fully consolidated, and more Cloud Computing and SaaS positioning is needed in the markets (as I see it)
More broadly, in the traditional ICT, SaaS delivered through global Cloud Computing Services will can give advantage for Costs Reductions and raised usability.
The Pitfalls are related to security, maintenance, contract Management f.e. For a larger corporation the Complexity of ICT Services reduces the usability of Cloud Computing.
Yes, Cloud Computing is a key element for ICT’s Project Portfolio of 2010.
