Squarespace Editor App in IPhone
The first edit session
I am finally writing this Lifetime Scope Journal entry with My iPhone. The Api for Squarespace Ipone App works quite easily and intuitively. Words seem to auto translate to Finnish, and I don t know how to change the dictionary in IPhone. Odd words pop-up and if I am not very cautious Finglish is put inside the text.
My opinion: Stars 4 / 5 Good: This App really works with IPhone, and feels immediately useful.
The second edit session
My first lesson was that the save button is really needed when writing with IPhone. Since editing is made off-line, all changes needs to be saved before trying to add pictures to the Story.I learned this after loosing to the data universe this second paragraph. (online/offline editing)
With two photos the upload is OK
My opinion: Stars 2 / 5 Not yet OK: The Screen flickers out with a slight mistouch when editing. I lose some text.
The Third edit session:The pictures
For Some reason the picture I took for this entry does not upload? I got frustrated about the picture uploader, and uploaded this picture with PC. The Picture is in IPhone client, but I cannot send it
Third edit session revisited
Today, the pictures seem to upload OK.
My opinion: Stars 3 / 5 quite OK: Again, for me, the upload is a bit mystery. There is no notification when pictures are uploaded.However, I lost the very beatiful picture that I took earlier, and uploaded this crappy screen image (lost picture).
The fourth edit session
For editing, the IPhone application is not at its best. But for toning ideas (few lines is all I am willing to type with the App) , and making notes it is perfect.
My opinion: Stars 3- / 5 OK: Summary: This application will Rock, and it already boosts my blogging productivity for sure. To edit anywhere helps brainstorming and creating ideas for Posts.
Checking comments is also great feature. Maybe I will go for 4- / 5 ..
The early bird version bugs will propably be fixed faster than I can think. Squarespace Pros should continue their efforts of creating their App as the finest Blog editing tool available for mobile platform. Perhaps also I could edit other accounts too like Typepad, Blogger etc. with it?

Q: How I begin to use Squarespace editor in IPhone ?
A: Just go to Apple AppStore in Itunes, connect your IPhone, download the Squarespace app, enter your login information for any Squarespace account, and you are all set for your first Mobile blog entry and admin session.
Q: Do I still need a workstation for editing?
A: Yes, since most of the functionality for modifying the Post are not implemented. Offline editing is great for writing the idea of an entry. Taking pictures and video will make this tool even more useful.
Q: Any plans to use this tool?
A: It would be great to write on-spot story about Marathon Race Vantaa Marathon, Shoot the Running to a video plus zillion photos, upload the story to my workstation to finish.
