(LSJ) Facebook mobile platform is choice for 200 million FB friends

I am fan of Facebook Mobile Platform. The nicest feature for me has been the easy way to share photos from my whereabouts here in Espoo, and make a Photo Album from the places I visit when working with Mobile Office Service.

I enjoy reading and participating with my friends in Live Feed. Especially I have fun with my favourite blogs which sends updates to different pages I administer, and to my personal wall.

Sometimes Messages that I receive makes me update my daily calendar with a meeting or a seminar that I deside to attend ..and so on. Facebook Mobile App is awesome!

As Page administrator, it is important to see that everything is OK with the pages I manage. Also, answering wall posts is ideally done with Mobile platform. Facebook Mobile App is already a productions tool for Lifetime Studios crew.

In a LiveStream Show from Facebook Live Innovations yesterday, few new important features are coming out for the Facebook Mobile Platform. The 3 most important things about Facebook mobile Platform were:

1) Single-Sign On with Facebook Connect and sharing data between Applications

Mobile Apps are using one Single-Sign On feature so that I don’t need to log-in various services when I am on the road. Jumping in and out with Foursquare, Panoramio, Facebook, Iphone Pictures, etc. does not really enhance my mobile experience. For the next version of these and many other Mobile Apps, I can rely on Facebook Connect and use one login for all of the services I need. Further more, the Apps share data, so I can see in FB Places data of my friends whereabouts from f.e. Yelp or Foursquare.

2) Places information is shared between Social Platforms

The whereabouts of my friends and the Business Services I tend to like are important data for any business.

For the next version, the application I am using does not restrict me to seeing friends using some other application interface to see my updating location information. If you tag yourself with Foursquare, I can still see your place information in Facebook Mobile Apps, and so on. We find each other no matter which social platform we are using. As a developer, I get access to read and Write APIs in Facebook APIs (See more @TechCrunch). This enables applications like Google Places ChatRooms (Video)  - ChatSquare.

These enhanced and unified DataSets mean that Mobile Social / Local Apps are now easier to create and provide with meaningful data. According Facebook guys, this results to a wealth of Next Generation Social Mobile Apps.

At the LiveStream show a sneak peek for a next generation application were presented. The newest Application of using Places information for Business purposes is Application called Facebook Deals.

3) Deals Platform comes to The Coffee Shop near you !

Or, you are walking in town some tuesday night, and want to go local Karaoke Bar, which is known for Rock Music Karaoke? To get your answer you can do the following with Facebook Deals App.

First, you login to Facebook Mobile with Facebook Connect, and check-in your Place to Places. You get a listing of your friends near-by. Secondly you a get a recommendation from your third friend about the Coffee Shop just two blocks away. When you click the Coffee Shop you see that with the Deals App, the Coffee Shop has created a Coupon deal of (50 % Off) for you. This convinces you to send a message to your friend to see her over a nice cup of coffee. You enter the Coffee Shop, just show this coupon (from the phone screen) at the shop, and you and your friend are ready for nice coffee hour.
